Job Overview:

As a Naval/Architecture Engineer within Oil & Gas EPC project team, it is responsible for the design, analysis, and integrity of offshore marine structures and vessels involved in the Bul Haine project. This role includes ensuring compliance with structural stability, hydrostatics, and marine classification requirements while collaborating across engineering disciplines for safe and efficient marine operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop marine vessels, floating platforms, and offshore structures considering static and dynamic load conditions.
  • Use specialized naval architecture software to model and simulate marine structural behavior.
  • Collaborate closely with structural, mechanical, and process engineers to optimize designs for fabrication and operation.
  • Ensure compliance with marine classification society rules, international standards, and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Conduct risk assessments and contribute to safety studies for marine aspects of the project.
  • Review and approve technical documents, drawings, and vendor submissions relevant to marine architecture.
  • Liaise with contractors, classification authorities, and regulatory bodies for approvals and inspections.
  • Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project schedules related to naval architectural scopes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Offshore Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in naval architecture within offshore oil and gas or marine industries.
  • Proficiency in hydrostatics, finite element analysis, and marine structural design software.
  • Familiarity with marine class society rules (e.g., ABS, DNV, LR) and international standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job Overview:

As a Structural Engineer within Oil & Gas EPC project team, the role focuses on the design, analysis, and integrity assurance of offshore structural systems, ensuring compliance with international standards and project specifications. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, robust, and cost-effective structural solutions for complex offshore facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural design and analysis of offshore platforms, subsea structures, and topside modules using current industry standards (API, AISC, DNVGL, Eurocodes, etc.).
  • Develop, review, and check structural drawings, 3D models, construction documents, and calculation reports.
  • Analyze marine and environmental loads (wind, wave, seismic) and perform fatigue and integrity assessments.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, and marine engineering teams.
  • Review vendor and subcontractor documentation for compliance with technical requirements.
  • Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Support the resolution of construction queries and provide field engineering support as required.
  • Ensure all structural work aligns with safety regulations, project quality standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, progress reports, and as-built records.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Offshore Engineering. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore structural engineering for oil and gas projects.
  • Proficient in relevant structural analysis and design software (e.g., SACS, STAAD.Pro, ANSYS, SAP2000).
  • Solid understanding of offshore industry codes and regulations.
  • Experience with fixed platforms, topside modules, subsea structures, and marine projects preferred.

Civil & Structure Engineer - Africa

We are hiring an experienced Civil & Structural Engineer to design, plan, review, assess and manage the engineering and construction of onshore structures for an oil & gas Field Development project in Uganda, Africa.

REQUIREMENTS

The suitable candidate shall have ALL of the following:

- At least 8 years experience as Civil & Structure Engineer

- At least 8 years in oil&gas/petrochemical industry

- Experience in Field Development projects (MUST HAVE)

- Experience in diverse international EPC projects

- Excellent spoken and written English
