Driller

General Responsibilities:

  • The Driller is responsible for supervising and carrying out the drilling and well control and other work in connection with the drilling operations.
  • The Driller is in charge of a safe operation of the drilling control system; drawworks; pipe handling systems; mud curculating systems; and Blow-out prevention (BOP) equipment in accordance with the requirments specified in the operating procedures.
  • The Driller is in charge of the drill crew and ensures the safe completion of all operations on the drill floor including daily preventative maintenance of all equipment.
  • Supervises, coordinates, trains, evaluates the performance of the drill crew.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Well Control Certificate at Supervisor Level issued by IWCF
  • Cyber base / Amphion experienced is required
  • A minimum of 10 years of oilfield experience with at least 5 years in similar capacity

Radio Operator

General Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot all radio and communication equipment including VHF, HF, satellite systems (Inmarsat, FleetBroadband), and emergency distress channels (e.g., Channel 16).
  • Maintain continuous watch on distress frequencies and coordinate emergency communication procedures during incidents such as man overboard, medical evacuations, or fire.
  • Record all transmissions, compile daily logs, and generate communication activity reports.
  • Facilitate communication with support vessels, helicopters, shore bases, and emergency services.
  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and testing of radio equipment and antennas.
  • Coordinate personnel movements, supply runs, helicopter arrivals/departures, and personnel transfers.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and activate the vessel’s emergency communication protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with maritime and international communication regulations, including GMDSS standards.
  • Keep up-to-date with operational procedures, safety protocols, and crew training on communication systems.

Job Requirements:

  • Should have 6 months’ experience in a communications position in the marine industry.

Motorman

General Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on engines, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical equipment.​
  • Monitor and inspect machinery, bilge, pump rooms, and tanks for leaks, damage, or operational issues.​
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of engine rooms and machinery spaces.​
  • Assist with troubleshooting and corrective repairs for mechanical failures.​
  • Conduct lubrication, oil/filter changes, alignment checks, and belt/chain inspections.​

General Responsibilities:

  • Control all of drilling operations and other interrelated activities being performed during his shift.
  • Consult with the Rig Superintendent regarding the progress of the drilling operation.
  • Ensure that the drilling operation is carried out in accordance with the defined drilling programme and that the operation is executed in a safe and proper manner.
  • Prepare drilling reports.
  • Understand and react immediately in case of hole problems or drill string problems.

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all functions of drilling program are executed, which includes the operation and monitoring the essential systems of the drilling rig including: the hoisting, well control, mud and power systems found on the rig;
  • Interface with operator representatives, and acts as a liaison regarding all non-standard requests for services.
  • Provide recommendations to Management regarding modifications or additions to Job Safety Analyses in order to maximize effectiveness across all entities of operations.
  • Conduct pre-tour meetings with oncoming crews, outlining current and future tasks and providing safety leadership as it relates to the specific tasks.
  • Work to manage rig operating costs to stay within established company guidelines.
  • Provide critical component information (hours since installed/changed) for all equipment failures requiring component replacement or major repair.
  • Supervise servicing and testing of all rig equipment.
  • Plan and supervises all rig moves.
  • Conduct frequent inspections of the rig and rig location, identifying issues regarding safe and efficient operations of the rig, and makes timely recommendations to rectify any noted problems.
  • Ensure all well control equipment is properly maintained, that necessary repairs are completed timely and all personnel are properly trained to operate the equipment.
  • Establishe and maintain a positive safety cultural climate in all work practices, enabling personnel to slow down or stop tasks that are deemed to have excessive risk.
  • Advise the Superintendent of changing well condition and severe weather conditions or other environmental factors that would inhibit operations.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of oilfield experience, both in the field and in the office. With at least 5-7 years as a Rig Manager (Onshore Based) managing Semisubmersibles for a reputable International Drilling Contractors
