We are urgently seeking candidates for our client Oil and Gas – EPC Project in Singapore.

Position: E&I / Senior E&I Engineer

Nationality: Preferably Chinese speaking Singaporean or Malaysian (Read, Write, Speak).

Required years of experience:  5-10 Years involved in similar offshore oil and gas projects experience

Job Overview:

As a E&I Engineer within Oil & Gas EPC project team, the role will responsible for the engineering, design, and coordination of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with all relevant project and industry standards for this major offshore EPC development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical and instrumentation systems for offshore facilities, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, control panels, DCS/PLC, process instrumentation, and safety systems.
  • Prepare, review, and update E&I specifications, drawings, datasheets, and technical documents in line with project requirements and international standards.
  • Interface closely with process, mechanical, piping, and construction teams to integrate E&I systems into overall facility design.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of vendor packages and support procurement activities for E&I equipment and materials.
  • Participate in HAZOPs, risk assessments, and safety reviews, incorporating findings into E&I system design and implementation plans.
  • Support field engineering during fabrication, installation, commissioning, and start-up phases, ensuring resolution of E&I technical queries and site problems.
  • Contribute to FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) for E&I equipment; collaborate on loop, interlock, and functional testing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, API, ATEX, and project/site-specific requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, inspection records, and as-built reports for final project handover.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 - 10 years relevant E&I engineering experience, ideally with offshore oil & gas/EPC projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of power systems, process instrumentation, industrial automation, and offshore hazardous area (ATEX/IECEx) requirements.
  • Proficient with engineering tools (AutoCAD, SmartPlant, ETAP, InTools, or equivalent) and familiar with 3D modeling and design review processes.
  • Experience with site support, commissioning, QA/QC, and vendor package management.
